Schedule

Throughout the school year from late August to mid-June, there will be monthly events and activities for the program participants.

The monthly events include:

	an orientation meeting at the start of the school year.
	on-campus speakers from the community (typically successful Latino business or professional people).
	college information sessions with college representatives.
	visits to at least two Bay Area colleges for a general tour and perhaps to attend a soccer game.
	social/athletic events for CIR participants.
	sending at least four students each year to a major college summer soccer camp in the San Francisco Bay Area.
	a year-end recognition event.
	a year-end reward trip outside the Bay Area to a fun and interesting location.

The goal of the program is to identify, motivate, educate and mentor the “college-potential” students in the program in order to have as many students as possible apply to, and attend, two and four-year colleges. We want to change the lives of the students in the program so they can ultimately improve the lives of their families and change their communities.
